Sales Development Apprentice

Ascendco is seeking a driven and ambitious Sales Apprentice to join our 18-month apprenticeship program. This program is designed for individuals looking to build a career in healthcare technology sales. As part of the apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience in platform implementation, client relationship building, and consultative sales training.
This role involves extensive travel (up to 70%) to hospitals nationwide to assist with platform implementation. Additionally, you will need reliable personal transportation to visit and support nearby hospitals in your area. By the end of the program, you will be well-positioned to interview for sales or client success roles within Ascendco.Key Responsibilities
Sales Development & Client Engagement (30%)
This role involves extensive travel (up to 70%) to hospitals nationwide to assist with platform implementation. Sales Development & Client Engagement (30%)
- Assist Account Executives with prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Support product demonstrations and sales presentations for prospective clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, addressing needs and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Shadow senior sales representatives to learn closing strategies and account expansion techniques.
Platform Implementation & Training (60%)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support platform implementation projects.
- Provide hands-on technical support and ensure seamless software integration for healthcare clients.
- Travel extensively (up to 70%) across the country to assist with on-site platform implementation at hospitals.
- Use personal transportation to visit and support local hospital clients.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to resolve issues and optimize workflows.
Learning & Professional Development (10%)
- Develop deep product knowledge and stay current with industry trends to improve sales performance.
- Participate actively in team meetings, sales strategy sessions, and mentorship programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, technology, business, or related fields.
- Strong interest in sales, digital transformation, and healthcare technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to frequent travel.
- Reliable transportation for visiting nearby client hospitals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience is a plus.
