Education Specialist

The Education Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting internal teams, clients, and service providers through education, training, and content creation. This role ensures that all users of Ascendco’s software are empowered with the knowledge and tools to maximize its value. You will facilitate client onboarding, support sales and marketing initiatives, and create high-quality training materials to enhance user understanding. The Education Specialist is also instrumental in onboarding new employees and leveraging AI-powered tools like Synthesia to produce engaging training and marketing videos.
Responsibilities
- Educate Users: Provide education and ongoing support to internal Ascenders, clients, and service providers on all software features.
- Develop and maintain supporting materials, including one-pagers, help articles, videos, and release notes.
- Use the Synthesia AI platform to create high-quality training and marketing videos, integrating AI avatars, voiceovers, and screen recordings.
- Client Onboarding: Conduct in-person and virtual training for staff at new client facilities.
- Provide onsite support during go-live events to ensure seamless implementation and adoption.
- Support Sales and Site Tours: Partner with the sales team during onsite tours to explain software functionality to prospective clients.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to address technical and operational questions.
- Support Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with the marketing team to create content and materials for campaigns that highlight existing and new software offerings.
- Educate New Ascenders: Lead training programs for new employees during their onboarding period.
- Create tailored content and deliver a memorable onboarding experience that equips new hires for success.
- Lead Annual Super User Conference: Partner with the marketing and executive teams to prepare for the annual Super User conference, a multi-day event for current clients.
- Oversee content creation, organization of training sessions, and lead sessions to ensure a seamless and impactful experience.
- Guide the overall event to foster client engagement, networking, and learning opportunities.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for breaking down complex concepts into accessible content.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging educational materials and deliver effective training sessions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Technical proficiency with tools like Synthesia or similar video creation platforms, and familiarity with learning management systems.
- Curiosity and a passion for continuous learning, with a mindset focused on problem-solving and innovation.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new software functionality, navigate complex systems, and independently explore and master tools with minimal direction.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time to support onsite training and go-live events.
